What this machine does
PS-LIF is a Game-of-Life sequencer. Paint a colony of cells on a grid where the rows are notes in the key and the columns are beats, press play, and a bar-locked playhead strikes a soft mallet on every living cell — while Conway's rules bloom the colony one generation each bar. An ever-mutating in-key ostinato that never quite repeats; the dice seeds a fresh colony.
